Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and engage young children in a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies tailored to the needs of early learners.
  • Collaborate with the Early Years team to ensure a consistent and high standard of education and care.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children’s progress and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning space for all children.
  • Support the school’s mission by encouraging curiosity, independence, and a sense of responsibility in students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development and play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an independent or prep school setting.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
