The Opportunity:
As a SENCo Administrator, you will play a key role in managing the EHCP Annual Review process, ensuring that every young person receives the support they need to thrive. This is a central role within a growing, purpose-led organisation, offering the chance to make a lasting impact through meaningful administrative work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the EHCP Annual Review process, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met within 12-month cycles.
- Lead the review cycle by liaising with Tutors and proposing amendments to EHCPs that reflect current needs.
- Chair meetings to ensure the voices of young people and their support network are heard and considered.
- Complete and submit all local authority paperwork promptly and accurately, maintaining full compliance.
- Support the SENCo Manager by tracking learner progress and monitoring SMART targets.
- Liaise with external agencies and referral partners to maintain clear and professional communication.
- Implement and maintain effective data collection and monitoring systems for SEND provision.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 1-2 years’ experience in a SEND or education-related environment with a solid understanding of EHCPs and “Preparation for Adulthood” outcomes.
- Experience leading or chairing meetings specifically designed to support young people with SEND.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be diplomatic yet firm.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict statutory deadlines.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/5 or above.
Preferred
- Experience with trauma-informed practice or the Loving Care Approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Tutors and external agencies.
- Knowledge of Functional Skills and personal development frameworks.
