The Opportunity:

As a Maths and English Tutor (SEND), you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will support their academic progress and personal development, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Functional Skills Interventions to small groups and 1:1 students with SEND.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of students.
• Design creative and inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Support the academic progress and personal development of students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment where all students feel valued.
• Participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Maths & English subjects.
• Proven experience working with SEND learners.
• Strong knowledge of Maths & English curriculum.
• Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

• Experience with Functional Skills and GCSE curriculum.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
• Passion for inspiring creativity and supporting student success.
