The Opportunity:
As an Art & Design Tutor (SEND), you will deliver inspiring and tailored lessons to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will play a vital role in helping them develop their artistic skills, confidence, and independence through creative learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive Art & Design lessons tailored to SEND learners.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Design and implement creative lesson plans that promote student engagement and progress.
- Support the personal and academic development of students through individualized learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Use digital media tools to enhance teaching and student projects.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously develop professional skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Art & Design subjects.
- Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of the Art & Design curriculum and teaching methods.
- Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with UAL Diploma qualifications.
- Familiarity with digital media and multimedia production tools.
- Passion for inspiring creativity and innovation in students.
- Experience in developing and delivering creative lesson plans for diverse learners.
