The Opportunity:

As an Art & Design Tutor (SEND), you will deliver inspiring and tailored lessons to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will play a vital role in helping them develop their artistic skills, confidence, and independence through creative learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Art & Design lessons tailored to SEND learners.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Design and implement creative lesson plans that promote student engagement and progress.
• Support the personal and academic development of students through individualized learning strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
• Use digital media tools to enhance teaching and student projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously develop professional skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Art & Design subjects.
• Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of the Art & Design curriculum and teaching methods.
• Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with UAL Diploma qualifications.
• Familiarity with digital media and multimedia production tools.
• Passion for inspiring creativity and innovation in students.
• Experience in developing and delivering creative lesson plans for diverse learners.
