The Opportunity:

As a Creative Media Tutor (SEND), you will inspire and support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities through engaging lessons in Film and Multimedia. You will help shape the academic and personal development of your students within a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in Film and Multimedia tailored to SEND learners.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Design creative and interactive lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
• Use digital media tools effectively in teaching and project-based learning.
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
• Provide regular feedback and support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Film or Multimedia subjects.
• Proven experience working with SEND learners.
• Strong knowledge of Film/Multimedia curriculum, particularly UAL Diploma.
• Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering creative lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Proficiency in digital media tools relevant to film production and multimedia projects.
• Passion for inspiring creativity through media arts.
• Experience working in a specialist college or SEND setting.
