The Opportunity:
A Maths Lecturer - GCSE and Functional Skills is needed to deliver high-quality teaching to a diverse group of students. This role involves teaching both 16–18-year-olds and adults, with the potential to work evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the curriculum and supporting student progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE maths lessons to mixed ability students.
- Prepare and implement schemes of learning and lesson plans.
- Utilise appropriate learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the maths curriculum.
- Teach Functional Skills courses where required.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Support students in achieving their academic and career goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in maths education.
- Experience teaching GCSE maths to 16–18-year-olds and adults.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with Functional Skills qualifications.
