Summary:
Learning Support Assistant needed for term-time, part-time role. Support SEND students in a progressive school environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with special educational needs and disabilities in both one-to-one and small group settings. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities during lessons and in small group settings.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure individual learning needs are met.
- Develop and implement individual learning plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
- Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students where needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and teachers.
- Assist in the delivery of targeted interventions and support strategies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Knowledge of a range of neurodiversities and related support strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Qualifications in education support or related fields.
- Experience with 1:1 and small group support.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices.
