The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher in the Additional Resource Provision, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Maths teaching to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development within a supportive and innovative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths teaching to students with SEMH needs, ensuring academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
  • Design and implement targeted small-group interventions to support student learning.
  • Supervise and lead therapeutic or enrichment activities to enhance student engagement and development.
  • Support students in transitioning between the ARP and the main school setting.
  • Collaborate with the ARP team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in the wider school community and contribute to staff wellbeing and professional development.
  • Provide supervision during student lunchtimes and other non-teaching duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive and creative teaching practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different settings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering targeted interventions or therapeutic support.
  • Background in additional resource provision or specialist support settings.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
