Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in one-to-one, small group, and whole-class settings.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and other adults within the school.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality learning experience.
  • Assist in the delivery of a knowledge-based academic curriculum and leadership programme.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Contribute to the overall development of a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with children in a school setting.
  • Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to supporting pupil learning and development.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a leadership or character development focus.
  • Previous experience in a similar support role within a secondary school.
  • Familiarity with Star Academies’ values and mission.
