Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4 to support student achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback to ensure continued improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the Religious Education curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the faculty.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through religious studies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to inclusion and respect.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practice.
  • Experience of working with students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and student well-being.
  • Knowledge of the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
