Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across all key stages, ensuring students achieve excellent outcomes.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s commitment to excellence.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support individual learning needs.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to deliver curriculum content effectively.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Further Mathematics.
- Experience with the use of IT and digital resources in teaching.
- Experience in leading or contributing to professional development initiatives.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
