Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across all key stages, ensuring students achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s commitment to excellence.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support individual learning needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to deliver curriculum content effectively.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Mathematics.
  • Experience with the use of IT and digital resources in teaching.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to professional development initiatives.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
