Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Maths and department colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and differentiated instruction.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s Virtual Learning Environment and other digital resources.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, including numeracy challenges, STEAM initiatives, and cross-curricular projects.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in Maths education and incorporate them into your teaching.
  • Support the school’s wider community through involvement in events, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Maths to GCSE and A Level students.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Enthusiasm for developing and leading enrichment activities, such as numeracy challenges or STEAM projects.
  • Experience with pastoral support and student welfare.
  • Familiarity with the Virtual Learning Environment and digital teaching tools.
