Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Maths and department colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and differentiated instruction.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s Virtual Learning Environment and other digital resources.
- Participate in co-curricular activities, including numeracy challenges, STEAM initiatives, and cross-curricular projects.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
- Stay up to date with best practices in Maths education and incorporate them into your teaching.
- Support the school’s wider community through involvement in events, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Maths to GCSE and A Level students.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
- Enthusiasm for developing and leading enrichment activities, such as numeracy challenges or STEAM projects.
- Experience with pastoral support and student welfare.
- Familiarity with the Virtual Learning Environment and digital teaching tools.
