Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Prepare and deliver curriculum content aligned with the school’s high standards and commitment to excellence.
- Support students in achieving excellent results in GCSE and A Level qualifications in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance teaching resources and strategies.
- Organise and lead educational trips and visits, including opportunities to CERN, Switzerland.
- Work closely with dedicated technicians and admin support to ensure smooth delivery of lessons and resources.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programme and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Support the induction and development of Early Career Teachers (ECTs) through a structured and supportive process.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in science education.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve excellent student outcomes.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos of excellence and student achievement.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
- Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role within a department.
- Experience with educational trips and visits to enhance student learning.
