Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons that encourage participation and physical well-being.
  • Coach and support students in core sports, building their confidence and skills.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by leading extracurricular activities and events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities and equipment.
  • Encourage a lifelong love of sport and physical activity among students.
  • Support the school’s mission to develop well-rounded, compassionate young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience in a school setting.
  • Proven experience in coaching one of the school’s core sports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safety.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students through sport.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or managing sports teams or clubs.
  • Knowledge of sports development and curriculum design.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and working with diverse student groups.
  • Familiarity with school co-curricular programmes and events.
