The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of Mathematics to join its successful department on a one-year maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic academic environment and support students at GCSE and A level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across the Senior School, including at GCSE and A level.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
- Support the development of students through clinics, drop-in sessions, and extension materials.
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
- Encourage student engagement in mathematics through UKMT competitions and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular and pastoral activities.
- Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents to support student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
- Ability to teach Mathematics confidently across the Senior School, including at GCSE and A level.
- Commitment to high academic standards and student support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with UKMT competitions or similar enrichment activities.
- Familiarity with the use of interactive technology in teaching.
- Experience in a school with a co-educational or single-sex teaching model.
- Background in a school with a strong focus on academic excellence and student wellbeing.
- Experience in pastoral or extracurricular leadership roles.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £34,727- £50,093 full-time equivalent.
- Enhanced school holidays (approximately 16 weeks).
