Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that inspire a lifelong love of learning.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student achievement and progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the school’s wider curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Support the school’s values of belonging, engagement, and success through positive role modeling.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new teaching methods where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Maths experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a school with a strong academic reputation.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience of working in a co-educational environment.
  • Experience with inclusion and differentiated teaching strategies.
