Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons that meet GCSE standards and inspire student interest.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme, supporting students in developing their leadership skills.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Geography and environmental studies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that leads to positive student outcomes.
  • Ability to teach Geography to GCSE standard.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving sustained improvements in student attainment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in contributing to leadership and character development programmes.
