Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons that meet GCSE standards and inspire student interest.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
- Participate in the school’s leadership programme, supporting students in developing their leadership skills.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Geography and environmental studies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that leads to positive student outcomes.
- Ability to teach Geography to GCSE standard.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving sustained improvements in student attainment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in contributing to leadership and character development programmes.
