Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to the needs of boys.
- Promote a lifelong love of sport and physical activity through engaging and inclusive teaching.
- Support students in achieving their personal and academic goals through physical education.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and school-wide sporting initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards and national curriculum requirements.
- Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and physical activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
- Contribute to the wider school community through staff development and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Physical Education.
- Proven experience in teaching Physical Education at secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos of inclusion and student success.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching boys’ PE specifically.
- Knowledge of sports coaching or leadership roles.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular sporting programs.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for Physical Education.
