Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to the needs of boys.
  • Promote a lifelong love of sport and physical activity through engaging and inclusive teaching.
  • Support students in achieving their personal and academic goals through physical education.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and school-wide sporting initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards and national curriculum requirements.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and physical activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through staff development and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Proven experience in teaching Physical Education at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos of inclusion and student success.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching boys’ PE specifically.
  • Knowledge of sports coaching or leadership roles.
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular sporting programs.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for Physical Education.
