Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and half-termly reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s strategic vision and raise academic standards.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to their overall wellbeing and development.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and mutual learning.
- Participate in professional development and training to continuously improve teaching practice.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading departmental initiatives or curriculum projects.
- Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
