Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and half-termly reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s strategic vision and raise academic standards.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to their overall wellbeing and development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and mutual learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training to continuously improve teaching practice.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading departmental initiatives or curriculum projects.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
