Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning that ensures successful outcomes for all students
- Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons tailored to students’ needs and interests
- Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of the Science curriculum following the school’s transition to AQA
- Inspire and motivate students through innovative and engaging teaching methods
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support departmental goals and student achievement
- Adapt to challenging situations and respond appropriately to ensure a positive learning environment
- Uphold strong moral and ethical principles in all aspects of teaching and behaviour
- Promote a culture of integrity and professionalism within the school community
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
- Passion for Science and a commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning
- Proven track record of outstanding progress in external examinations
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong moral and ethical principles and values
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Experience with AQA qualifications
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in Continuing Professional Development
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
