The Opportunity:

Join a school seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover) to begin in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing Maths faculty and to support students at all key stages with inspiring and engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons at KS3, KS4, and Key Stage 5.
  • Use formative and summative data to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and develop resources.
  • Support the implementation of Disruption Free Learning to maintain a calm and orderly environment.
  • Contribute to the school’s strong pastoral and academic culture.
  • Promote a growth mindset among students and colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
  • Ability to teach across KS3, KS4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
  • Commitment to collaborative working and professional development.
  • Strong understanding of growth mindset and its application in teaching.
  • Experience in using data to inform teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a school with a strong pastoral support system.
  • Familiarity with Disruption Free Learning strategies.
  • Previous involvement in ECT induction or mentorship programmes.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that inspire student engagement.
