The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Law and Politics Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic and personal development of our students. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Law and Politics to students at all levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s mission and curriculum standards.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals through personalized guidance and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
- Contribute to the school’s enrichment programs and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject expertise in Law and Politics.
- Experience in teaching at the sixth form or equivalent level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering both A Level and BTEC courses.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and successful inspection outcomes.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of current issues in law and politics.
