Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Law and Politics to students at all levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s mission and curriculum standards.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals through personalized guidance and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
  • Contribute to the school’s enrichment programs and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject expertise in Law and Politics.
  • Experience in teaching at the sixth form or equivalent level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering both A Level and BTEC courses.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and successful inspection outcomes.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of current issues in law and politics.
