Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons to students across multiple year groups.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Participate in professional development and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and carers.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student interest in mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching across a range of ability levels.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and student wellbeing.
