The Opportunity:

A SEN Music Teacher is needed to inspire and support students through creative and engaging music and performing arts programs. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and progressive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver music and performing arts lessons tailored to the needs of students with severe learning difficulties
  • Collaborate with school staff to provide a wide range of opportunities in music and performance
  • Lead and maintain best practice in music education across the school
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Support the professional development of the music department
  • Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure all music activities are safe, engaging, and aligned with the school’s mission

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special education or mainstream teaching
  • Strong knowledge of music and performing arts
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage time efficiently
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience in working with students with severe learning difficulties

Preferred

  • Experience in SEN teaching and learning
  • Leadership experience in music or performing arts
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams

Compensation & Benefits:
