Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate learning and support students to progress and achieve their goals.
- Work closely with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to create a holistic learning experience.
- Implement innovative and challenging teaching strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching practices.
- Support the school's vision by promoting inclusion and continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive school community.
- Assist in the management of classroom environments that are safe, engaging, and inclusive.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education.
- Proven ability to support students with complex needs, including autism, sensory needs, or challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and parents.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching students with severe learning difficulties.
- Knowledge of specialist training such as SCERTS, ELKLAN, or PECS.
- Experience in behaviour management and medical procedures.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
