Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate learning and support students to progress and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to create a holistic learning experience.
  • Implement innovative and challenging teaching strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education.
  • Proven ability to support students with complex needs, including autism, sensory needs, or challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching students with severe learning difficulties.
  • Knowledge of specialist training such as SCERTS, ELKLAN, or PECS.
  • Experience in behaviour management and medical procedures.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
