The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our team. This role plays a vital part in delivering a high-quality, values-based curriculum to students aged 11 to 18. The successful candidate will contribute to a school culture that promotes respect, excellence, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Religious Education to students aged 11 to 18.
- Support the school's mission by integrating Catholic values and universal human values into teaching and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Participate in a wide-ranging CPD programme and contribute to staff development.
- Promote positive behaviour and strong relationships with students.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Monitor and assess student progress in line with school standards.
- Work with students to foster a culture of respect and mutual support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
- Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and universal values.
- Experience of teaching students aged 11 to 18.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Involvement in extra-curricular or pastoral activities.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Familiarity with the English Baccalaureate and related subjects.
