Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Develop deep, secure and connected understanding of mathematics for all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum design and teaching approaches.
- Motivate and inspire students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, academic rigour and inclusion.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to whole-school learning initiatives.
- Work closely with the Maths Faculty and local Maths Hub to ensure pedagogy remains at the forefront of mathematics education.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching mathematics.
- Strong understanding of how pupils learn mathematics.
- Commitment to developing deep, secure and connected understanding in learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum design and sequencing.
- Involvement in professional networks or Maths Hubs.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and student progress.
