Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality lessons in line with the school’s vision for learning and your subject leader’s expectations.
- Plan and implement effective schemes of work, assessments, and personal learning checklists.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and share best practices.
- Engage in professional development to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning through observations, student work, and feedback.
- Ensure effective use of homework to support student learning.
- Plan and lead educational trips and events that enhance student engagement and learning.
- Create a stimulating and resource-rich learning environment within the subject area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good Honours Degree
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Evidence of wider professional development
- Willingness to undertake further CPD
- Relevant postgraduate studies
- Experience teaching across two Key Stages
- Proven ability to teach good and outstanding lessons
- Experience teaching up to Advanced Level/Oxbridge
- Experience working with a group of students offering pastoral support
- Experience raising student attainment in an aspect of school work
- Experience planning and managing change within a subject-based area
- Experience researching and initiating subject-focused initiatives
- Experience of subject-focused self-evaluation
Preferred
- Experience teaching Philosophy as a second subject
