Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Plan and assess schemes of work in line with the school's curriculum expectations
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and learning
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of maths teaching strategies
- Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to promote a positive learning culture
- Monitor and report on student progress regularly
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent
- Relevant teaching experience, including experience teaching Mathematics
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a Catholic school or similar ethos
- Experience with CPD and professional development
- Experience with using technology in the classroom
- Experience with teaching students across a range of abilities
