The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MFL Teacher (French Specialism) to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning, support academic achievement, and play a key role in the school’s community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in MFL, in line with national standards.
- Ensure student achievement through data-driven strategies and effective intervention.
- Provide a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Support the academic and pastoral progress of students as a Form Tutor.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of MFL schemes of work.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing high-quality feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in departmental and whole-school meetings.
- Uphold the school’s values and ethos, including attendance at religious and community events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant subject knowledge in MFL, specifically French.
- Experience of teaching MFL across a range of abilities and ages (11–16).
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that reflect best practice in pedagogy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to the school’s Christian ethos and values.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral support or Form Tutoring.
- Experience with post-16 provision or A-level teaching.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in teaching and learning.
- Experience in extracurricular activities or school events.
