The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher to provide maternity cover from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach across the 11–18 age range in a thriving department with a strong academic record and a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across the 11–18 age range.
• Prepare and mark coursework, assessments, and examinations in line with the school’s expectations.
• Support students in achieving excellent results, including in Edexcel IGCSE and A Level Mathematics.
• Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
• Engage students in extra-curricular Mathematics activities and competitions.
• Use ICT effectively in teaching and support student learning through the use of iPads and laptops.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and development of students within the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree-level qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Suitable teaching qualifications (PGCE / BEd).
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

• Experience with teaching Mathematics to students aged 11–18.
• Experience with Edexcel IGCSE and A Level Mathematics courses.
• Experience with Further Mathematics qualifications.
• Experience working with students preparing for entry to Russell Group universities.
• Experience with using ICT in Mathematics teaching.
