The Opportunity:

As a Maths Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential through engaging and inclusive teaching. You will deliver high-quality lessons and support learners with diverse needs, including those with SEND, to ensure they develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement, taking action to address any concerns
  • Provide clear targets and timely, constructive feedback to support learner development
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities
  • Carry out duties in line with school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher (or working towards) with a strong Maths subject background
  • Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally within Further Education
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to support a range of learner needs
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate records

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in safeguarding and equality commitments
  • Familiarity with digital tools and online learning platforms
