Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Media Studies curriculum across key stages.
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the department.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Media Studies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding outcomes.
  • Promote student engagement and enthusiasm for Media Studies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular links.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Media Studies.
  • Represent the department in school-wide meetings and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Media Studies.
  • Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Media Studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive and comprehensive education.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Familiarity with digital media and current industry practices.
  • Experience in leading a department or team.
  • Experience in teaching across multiple key stages.
