The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Medical Team Member to join our growing medical centre. This role is central to ensuring the health and wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors, with a focus on delivering safe, compassionate, and effective care in a dynamic school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely assess and manage a wide range of medical complaints presented by students during the school day
  • Provide emergency medical care to the school community and all visitors
  • Confidently assess and manage sports injuries
  • Support students with complex health needs and collaborate with health professionals to develop individual care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and correspondence related to medical care
  • Monitor illness outbreaks and liaise with Public Health England and relevant stakeholders
  • Deliver accessible and confidential medical services to students
  • Ensure the school environment is safe by reporting accidents, hazards, and near misses
  • Prepare school trip leaders with appropriate first aid materials and advice
  • Teach Basic Life Support and first aid to students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Paramedic or equivalent governing body
  • A BSc in Paramedic Practice or equivalent qualification
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in spreadsheets and database systems
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to engage actively with the school community
  • Strong team-player with collaborative working experience
  • Empathy, kindness, and excellent listening skills
  • Experience in teaching or delivering first aid training
