The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Modern Languages Teacher to join a thriving department where results at GCSE and A Level are consistently high. The successful candidate will teach French and Spanish, with the added advantage of being able to teach German. This role is ideal for an ECT, with access to an excellent induction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and Spanish to students at GCSE and A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results.
  • Participate in the school’s co-curricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress.
  • Contribute to the development of the Modern Languages department.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish at GCSE and A Level.
  • Commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities.
  • Suitable for an ECT, with a commitment to professional development.

Preferred

  • Ability to teach German in addition to French and Spanish.
  • Experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Strong track record of academic results.
  • Experience with peer assessment and student feedback.
