Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Psychology and related courses.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student success.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods.
- Contribute to the school’s digital innovation strategy by using technology effectively in teaching.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and other school initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Psychology at A-Level or equivalent.
- Commitment to innovative and active teaching methods.
- Ability to teach across a range of Social Sciences courses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience with digital teaching tools and technologies.
- Experience in teaching BTEC Applied Psychology or other related courses.
- Experience in supporting students with progression to higher education.
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
