The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Psychology and related courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student success.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the school’s digital innovation strategy by using technology effectively in teaching.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and other school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Psychology at A-Level or equivalent.
  • Commitment to innovative and active teaching methods.
  • Ability to teach across a range of Social Sciences courses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital teaching tools and technologies.
  • Experience in teaching BTEC Applied Psychology or other related courses.
  • Experience in supporting students with progression to higher education.
  • Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care.
