Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the wider life of the institution.
- Support students in developing key skills and a lifelong love of learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a multicultural and inclusive setting.
- Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Experience with curriculum development or assessment design.
