Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the wider life of the institution.
  • Support students in developing key skills and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a multicultural and inclusive setting.
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Experience with curriculum development or assessment design.
