The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in German to students across Key Stages.
• Implement a carefully sequenced five-year curriculum with cultural topics and online resources.
• Support students in developing language skills and a love for learning through interactive and immersive teaching.
• Work collaboratively with the MFL department and senior leadership to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Provide pastoral support and contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.
• Participate in regular CPD sessions and subject-specific training to enhance teaching practice.
• Monitor and assess student progress using a range of formative and summative assessments.
• Engage with native speakers and online learning platforms to enhance teaching and student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching German at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge in German language and culture.
• Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering a modern foreign language curriculum.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital resources.
• Experience with GCSE and A Level teaching.
• Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
