The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated MFL Teacher (German) to join our dedicated team and contribute to the development of our outstanding curriculum. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to inspire students and support their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in German to students across Key Stages.
- Implement a carefully sequenced five-year curriculum with cultural topics and online resources.
- Support students in developing language skills and a love for learning through interactive and immersive teaching.
- Work collaboratively with the MFL department and senior leadership to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Provide pastoral support and contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.
- Participate in regular CPD sessions and subject-specific training to enhance teaching practice.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of formative and summative assessments.
- Engage with native speakers and online learning platforms to enhance teaching and student engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching German at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in German language and culture.
- Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering a modern foreign language curriculum.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital resources.
- Experience with GCSE and A Level teaching.
- Leadership experience or potential for future leadership roles.
