The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part Time Chemistry Teacher to join our Science department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth, while contributing to a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons tailored to the needs of all students
  • Collaborate with members of the Science department and Prep School teachers
  • Track and monitor student progress and performance
  • Participate in department development planning and school-wide events
  • Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students with guidance on course choices and post-16 options
  • Act as a Form Tutor in the Senior School when required
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular programme to enhance students’ broader education

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Chemistry at a similar level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student progress and development
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and enhancing the science curriculum
  • Involvement in extra-curricular science activities
  • Experience with pastoral care and form tutoring
  • Familiarity with school appraisal and professional development systems
