Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons from KS3 to A level, alongside A level Politics.
  • Support the academic and pastoral development of students.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a diverse and engaging curriculum.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and departmental initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Humanities Faculty.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote student well-being and achievement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in History and Politics.
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience at KS3 and A level.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching other Humanities subjects at KS3.
  • ECTs or experienced teachers looking for their next challenge.
  • Familiarity with the GDST and its values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
