Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality MFL lessons in German and Spanish to students across key stages.
  • Plan and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote language acquisition and cultural awareness.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of the school’s leadership programme.
  • Support the school’s mission to foster a culture of excellence and character development.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard in German and Spanish.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement in MFL subjects.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing innovative and creative teaching methods.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at both key stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrable commitment to leadership development and character education.
