The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced MFL Teacher (Spanish and French) to join a school that values language education and provides excellent opportunities for professional growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish and French to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching to A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to language learning by contributing to extracurricular activities and language clubs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum and improve student outcomes.
  • Assess, record, and report student progress in line with school and Trust standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the school’s Christian ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives and events that promote the importance of language learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), specifically Spanish to KS4 and French to at least KS3.
  • Understanding of recent curriculum and learning developments in MFL.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students across the ability range.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, recording, and reporting processes.
  • Commitment to self-improvement and reflective practice.
  • Enthusiasm and energy to inspire students and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level French or Spanish.
  • Experience with extracurricular language activities or clubs.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with the Twyford CE Academies Trust and its curriculum.
