We are seeking a Temporary Part-Time RE Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. The successful candidate will contribute to a programme that is both academically rigorous and spiritually enriching, engaging students in exploring diverse faith perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons that align with the school's Catholic mission and curriculum.
  • Support students in exploring religious and secular worldviews through the four key programme areas: The Search for Truth, Living in Community, Celebrating Mystery, and a Life of Integrity.
  • Collaborate with the RE team on planning, evaluation, and professional development.
  • Participate in training days and contribute to the department's ethos of mutual support and shared success.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the pastoral and spiritual development of students.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and inclusive education.
  • Ability to deliver academically challenging and spiritually enriching lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in working with students of diverse faith backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a Catholic educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic curriculum and RE programme structure.
  • Experience in collaborative planning and team teaching.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
