The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Temporary Part-Time RE Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and innovative educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality Religious Education. The successful candidate will contribute to a programme that is both academically rigorous and spiritually enriching, engaging students in exploring diverse faith perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons that align with the school's Catholic mission and curriculum.
- Support students in exploring religious and secular worldviews through the four key programme areas: The Search for Truth, Living in Community, Celebrating Mystery, and a Life of Integrity.
- Collaborate with the RE team on planning, evaluation, and professional development.
- Participate in training days and contribute to the department's ethos of mutual support and shared success.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student engagement and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the pastoral and spiritual development of students.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and inclusive education.
- Ability to deliver academically challenging and spiritually enriching lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with students of diverse faith backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within a Catholic educational setting.
- Familiarity with the Catholic curriculum and RE programme structure.
- Experience in collaborative planning and team teaching.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
