The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Modern Foreign Languages (French or Spanish) to students aged 11-18.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Participate in professional development and school events to contribute to the school's mission and values.
  • Support students in developing language skills and cultural awareness through a variety of teaching methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages (French or Spanish).
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to use digital tools in the classroom.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Ability to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Experience in working within a community school setting.
