Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that support student success and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school community members.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment through classroom organization and display.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in line with school policies and curriculum requirements.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum action groups.
  • Support the delivery of extra-curricular activities and school events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in teaching.
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Preferred

  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
