The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, support curriculum development, and play a key part in the school’s enrichment and extracurricular program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement an ambitious and inclusive music curriculum aligned with the school’s values.
  • Support the school’s enrichment program and contribute to extracurricular music activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Provide pastoral support to students and contribute to their overall development.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching music at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and composition.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of respect, responsibility, and resilience.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular music programs.
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for student achievement and personal development.
