The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Music Technician to support the Performing Arts Department with technical and practical assistance. This role is ideal for someone passionate about music and music technology, who can contribute to a creative and collaborative environment. The Music Technician will ensure that teaching spaces and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support staff and students with technical assistance in the Performing Arts Department.
- Prepare and maintain teaching spaces, rehearsal rooms, and recording facilities.
- Manage and maintain instruments and studio equipment to a high standard.
- Conduct regular checks, cleaning schedules, and inventory management.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of supplies as required.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of all facilities and equipment.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure continuity and support across the week.
- Contribute to the success of the school’s Performing Arts program and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proactive and technically skilled with experience in music and music technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and equipment care.
- Experience in a similar technician role, preferably within an educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience with A Level and vocational music courses.
- Familiarity with theatre and performance facilities.
- Knowledge of sound engineering or recording technology.
- Experience in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
- Passion for music and the performing arts.
