The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Music Technician to support the Performing Arts Department with technical and practical assistance. This role is ideal for someone passionate about music and music technology, who can contribute to a creative and collaborative environment. The Music Technician will ensure that teaching spaces and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support staff and students with technical assistance in the Performing Arts Department.
  • Prepare and maintain teaching spaces, rehearsal rooms, and recording facilities.
  • Manage and maintain instruments and studio equipment to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular checks, cleaning schedules, and inventory management.
  • Assist with stock control and ordering of supplies as required.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of all facilities and equipment.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure continuity and support across the week.
  • Contribute to the success of the school’s Performing Arts program and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proactive and technically skilled with experience in music and music technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and equipment care.
  • Experience in a similar technician role, preferably within an educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with A Level and vocational music courses.
  • Familiarity with theatre and performance facilities.
  • Knowledge of sound engineering or recording technology.
  • Experience in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Passion for music and the performing arts.
