The Opportunity:
As an EHCP Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative, practical, and emotional support to students with EHCPs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance in and out of the classroom. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people reach their full potential through dedicated and impactful support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor EHCP reviews and support plans for students.
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support sessions tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate in-class support and arrange access arrangements for students with EHCPs.
- Assist with diagnostic screening and create individualised support plans in collaboration with staff and families.
- Provide targeted literacy, numeracy, and study skills support.
- Support students with time management, organisation, and confidence-building activities.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring alignment with EHCP goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic and integrated support approach.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting students with EHCPs.
- Experience in providing support to students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a learning support or educational setting.
- Knowledge of EHCP processes and requirements.
- Experience with developing and implementing individualised support plans.
- Experience with mentoring or confidence-building activities for students.
