The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of students. This position supports the Deputy Head Pastoral and wider pastoral team, with a focus on diary management, Sixth Form administration, and safeguarding. The role requires a highly organised and empathetic individual who is committed to providing excellent pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate diary and administrative tasks for the Deputy Head Pastoral and pastoral team.
  • Support the coordination of wellbeing, pastoral, and safeguarding records.
  • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate clear and compassionate communication with parents, guardians, and students.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the pastoral team and across the school community.
  • Ensure sensitive information is managed in accordance with data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
  • Support the smooth running of pastoral events and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in a pastoral or educational support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience in diary management or similar administrative tasks.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of pastoral care and student wellbeing strategies.
  • Experience in Sixth Form administration.
  • Proficiency in using administrative software and systems.
