The Opportunity:
As a Pastoral Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of students. This position supports the Deputy Head Pastoral and wider pastoral team, with a focus on diary management, Sixth Form administration, and safeguarding. The role requires a highly organised and empathetic individual who is committed to providing excellent pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate diary and administrative tasks for the Deputy Head Pastoral and pastoral team.
- Support the coordination of wellbeing, pastoral, and safeguarding records.
- Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Facilitate clear and compassionate communication with parents, guardians, and students.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the pastoral team and across the school community.
- Ensure sensitive information is managed in accordance with data protection standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Support the smooth running of pastoral events and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience in a pastoral or educational support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience in diary management or similar administrative tasks.
- A willingness to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
- Experience working within a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of pastoral care and student wellbeing strategies.
- Experience in Sixth Form administration.
- Proficiency in using administrative software and systems.
