The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, helping young children from six months old to grow and learn in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys working with young children in a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences for children aged six months to three years
  • Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of young children
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager and other team members to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times
  • Support children in developing independence and self-confidence
  • Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on children's well-being and development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A caring, friendly, and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for working with young children
  • Experience working with children under the age of three
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Nursery Manager
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • An Early Years or childcare qualification
  • Experience of working in a school or early years setting
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
