The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, helping young children from six months old to grow and learn in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys working with young children in a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences for children aged six months to three years
- Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of young children
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager and other team members to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times
- Support children in developing independence and self-confidence
- Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on children's well-being and development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A caring, friendly, and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for working with young children
- Experience working with children under the age of three
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Nursery Manager
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- An Early Years or childcare qualification
- Experience of working in a school or early years setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
